I am interested in the dissonance between the innocent world of children and adult reality. I wanted to capture moments when those two worlds clash.

The child sees the adult world as if peering through a keyhole, in glimpses. The parent in turn tries to protect the child by staging the illusion of a safe world: the unnaturally rigid fox by the highway is merely lying down for a nap.

In the end, however, the parent is forced to accept that no amount of baby monitors, crawling helmets, slip-proof socks, test-winner-for-safety car seats or antiseptic hand rub can protect the child from eventually confronting reality.
