Philip Lernhammar: Teckning och måleri

This exhibition has come to be about something I have been interested in ever since I was little: to draw and paint people in different situations and circumstances.

As children, we learn by observing the surroundings and our fellow human beings. Learning by observing and then drawing is something that has been an essential strategy for me ever since childhood, whether it was in a diary or on a paper.

I think that all people become shaped by the visual environment in which they grow up, and I find it interesting to come to the self-understanding that even my thinking has formed by the stories and picture books I read as a child.

The paintings and drawings shown here has been made in the same simple way - through observation and drawing.

Philip Lernhammar (b. 1992, Örebro, Sweden) is completing his last year of the MFA degree at Academy of Fine Arts Helsinki. Working with painting and drawing, he has recently found an interest in children's books and drawing diagrams in his diaries.

TECKNING OCH MÅLERI is the second part of his degree thesis. The first part presented in May 2019 at the Kuvan Kevät MFA Degree exhibition.

Linda Roschier esittelee näyttelyssä maalausinstallationsa Rudimentary magic.

Linda Roschier (s. 1979) asuu ja työskentelee Helsingissä. Hän viimeistelee kuvataiteen maisterin opintojaan Taideyliopiston Kuvataideakatemiassa maalaustaiteen opetusalueella. Viime aikoina Roschierin teoksia on ollut esillä Kuvataideakatemian Kuvan Kevät 2019 -maisterinäyttelyssä. Kuvan Keväässä Roschier esitti maisterin opinnäytetyönsä ensimmäisen osan, tämän näyttelyn ollessa opinnäytteen toinen osa. Roschier on opiskellut taidetta aikaisemmin Aalto-yliopiston Taidekasvatuksen osastolla ja valmistunut sieltä Taiteen maisteriksi. Hänellä on ollut yksityis- ja ryhmänäyttelyitä monissa paikoissa, muun muassa Galleria Huudossa Helsingissä.
