In October, 2017 Erja Joukamo-Ampuja, Susan Williams and Eve Newsome will present at the inaugural International Conference on Music Psychology and Music Performance in Madrid, Spain on their speciality areas related to Music Pedagogy. Their presentations will form a pedagogy symposia entitled: From Potential to Performance: Psychology in Explorative Practice. The conference runs from October 5-7, 2017 and covers a wide range of topics within the Psychology and Music framework. For more details see www.conpsimusica.es.
Gabriela Mayer – news
The Potential to Performance website was launched as part of “Innovation Week” in the CIT Cork School of Music on 6 March 2017. This included a presentation to staff and students. Gabriela also plans a series of seminars for new teachers and students focusing on individual areas of practice and performance, which will encourage a sharing of ideas and informal discussion.
Gabriela is a founding member of a new piano chamber group, PRISM Ensemble, along with colleagues Siún Milne, violin, Cian Ó Dúill, viola, and Aoife Nic Athlaoich, cello. The paths of the ensemble members crisscrossed many countries, and they bring their artistic experience as performers and educators to this partnership. They are all currently based in Cork and teaching at the CIT Cork School of Music.

In April 2017 Susan Williams is releasing her book Quality Practice: A Workbook for Musicians.
The original online version of this publication was commissioned by the Netzwerk Musikhochschulen in Germany and a German version of the book will also be available.

Eve Newsome – news
Eve will be giving a paper on her flow Music Method at the Australian Performing Arts Health Care conference, held at the University of Melbourne, Australia on December 10, 2016. (www.aspah.org.au)
Eve is also currently developing a new course entitled Optimal Performance Practice which will be introduced in 2017 as an elective in the undergraduate Bachelor of Music at Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, Australia. Eve will be an oboe tutor at the Wellington International oboe Summer School in New Zealand, January 3-8, 2017 (www.oboenz.org)
