NATALIA KOZIEL

1987 | Bydgoszcz, Poland | printmaking

My space is located somewhere between abstract forms and concrete representations of phenomena and events.

Space, where the languages of printmaking and painting blend together to create new experimental constructs.

Space, where memories are rescued from oblivion, recovering unfulfilled dreams, with a touch of unforgettable tenderness and the beauty of paradise lost.

Space, where everyday reality is our heaven, yet it is a reality that defines that which transcends the temporality of our being, no matter how marginalized it may be.

Space, where I can watch the states in between, discovering loss as a stigma of the modern world.

Space, where I can return to what is lost, discover what has been abandoned, restore what is inessential – all is worth exploring to gain a new, full perception of what is unseen and what is our essence.

Space that expands, where three-dimensionality lends even greater power to the work by accumulating the transfigured world brushing on tangibility every day.

So small, the beautiful gift of seeing things which are seemingly insignificant.

In my space, everything happens somewhere on the side, the other side.
