Structure of exercises

Metodo pratico includes 22 songs introducing three types of skills; intervals, ornaments, and separate exercises on the recitative and arias.

Vaccaj used the Roman numerals I-XV, seven of which include two songs (I, II, IV, VIII, IX, X ja XIII) on kaksi laulua kullakin.

At the Sibelius Academy (SA) we use Vaccaj's system of 1-15 (I-XV) but add the letters "a" and "b" to distinguish between the songs and their order.
