An epic sculpture tableau of violence, nascent sexuality and a dolphin

I try to achieve a picture of fragility and vulnerability through my work. I am making a sculpture of a search for love and acceptance, which is manifested in extreme measures when the moral environment is still black-and-white.

My sculpture tableau, which is cast in sugar, is located in a time when you can use fear to buy love; a time when your own weakness and vulnerability are concealed in brute strength. A time when there is both good and bad, and when only unreserved admiration counts as affection. My epic sculpture tableau is situated where compassion reaches only the cutest stuffed toy animal. :)

The work is a representation of violence, crystallizing the bittersweet wretchedness of youth into flowing blood and tears.
