I structure my artistic work through conventions that are familiar from the world of music. I categorise my works in the following way: a song (a drawing, a painting or a sculpture), an EP with a few songs (e.g.a triptych), an album (an exhibition) and a series of albums (an installation or a series of works).

The effect of music on my art can be seen in the rhythmic and bodily qualities of my works. My drawing instruments are tools for making bodily-expressive works by varying things like touch or utensils. I use black and white inks. I like their visual and methodological severity. I move intuitively in figurative and non-figurative fields, searching for a shape for the experiences of worldly existence. Drawing with different inks is like playing live music in layers, where you always move forward and never go back. The completed drawing is a selection of recordings from one or several sessions. My goal is not to fiddle around endlessly in the studio or to overproduce my works.
