1983 Alavus
She liked potted plants. She was especially fond of saintpaulias. The plants were arranged in a row on the kitchen sill, the truncated pygmies. The saintpaulias were carefully watered with egg shell water, which was kept bottled in the sink cupboard. The water was always supposed to be poured onto the saucer. The saintpaulias were carefully pruned so that they would always look nice and tidy. As the flowers aged, their leaves were cut out so that new pygmies could arise from them. Dust settled onto the furry leaves, making the old leaves turn pale and gray.
