I have always been fascinated by those areas on the map where roads end and wilderness begins. A camera will make the journey for me.

When natural scientists go out to explore the world, I provide them a super8 film camera and ask them to take one picture every day. The films become diaries of a disappearing world. The camera made its first trip in the Peruvian Amazon in August, 2010, and the project goes on as the camera takes part in new expeditions.
